Partnership for Youth Success (PaYS) Matches Military Skills to Job Openings
09:02 GMT, February 15, 2011 McLean, Virginia | Booz Allen Hamilton has signed a partnership with the U.S. Army Partnership for Youth Success (PaYS) program that will offer Army soldiers a chance to pursue a job with the firm after their military service.
The partnership connects Booz Allen to one of the largest recruiting organizations in the world, providing access to a database that matches the firm’s job needs to job skills that soldiers learn in the Army. The Army PaYS program, developed by the U.S. Army Recruiting Command in 2000, involves more than 375 other major corporations, and provides a direct opportunity for soldiers to prepare for a long-term career after serving.
“Our partnership with the Army PaYS program will further improve our ability to attract the best staff with military backgrounds who have been held to the highest standards and enable them to continue serving our nation in a different and challenging way,” said Betty Thompson, Senior Vice President. “We’re particularly excited because of how well this agreement to recruit Army soldiers connects to our corporate culture and commitment to a truly diverse workforce.”
Booz Allen’s current staffing needs include administrative support, acquisitions and technology skills, which will be reflected in the PaYS database.
Booz Allen has a longstanding reputation as a leading employer of former military personnel and for its support of veterans and wounded warriors. The firm was named by G.I. Jobs magazine as the top military-friendly employer of 2011.
